U.S. Armor’s Terminal Velocity™ Series

combines advanced ballistic materials

from DuPont™ and Honeywell.

The combination of these materials is

considered to be one of the greatest

advancements in body armor in years.

This is possible because of the unique

properties of DuPont™ Kevlar® and

Honeywell Gold Flex® and Spectra

Shield®.

DuPont™ Kevlar® 129 ballistic fabric

is air entangled and features a new

weaving technology that allows us to

decrease the weight of the vest by

about 20%.

Gold Flex® brings the qualities of

aramid fibers to a shield construction.

Because of the heavier fiber density, it

delivers a higher level of performance

in a thinner panel construction.

Spectra Shield® delivers full ballistic

protection in a softer, more flexible,

non-woven fabric.

Another important feature adding to

the comfort of the Terminal Velocity™

is the outer carrier, which is constructed

with Akwadyne®. This material

allows for moisture to be wicked away

from the skin and into the fabric; this

greatly enhances evaporation. In a

study by university scientists, they

found Akwadyne® reduced the heat

caused by sweating, which ultimately

lowered the wearers heart rate. They

found that Akwadyne® performed better

than bare skin.
